Children’s Minister Olivia Shields

My Story

Since high school, Olivia always felt like she was truly a Southern girl born in a Northern world. As a native Vermonter, she joins us at Katy Community Fellowship as our Children’s Minister.

Olivia’s passion for children’s ministry comes from 8 years that she spent traveling around the country and ministering at a Michigan family camp all under the umbrella of Life Action Ministries. She has a deep desire to see children not only know about Jesus, but to know Him through personal experiences, so that they will then go out and make a difference for Him!

It’s also this passion to see children thrive that pushed her to pursue her degree from Liberty University in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Religious Studies and Child and Adolescent Development. It is her hope that she will be able to minister to the whole family by teaching kids solid truths and partnering with parents to provide encouragement and resources for the discipleship journey ahead.
