We are going to have a great time on March 19th from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the O’Leary home on Avenue D playing some Extreme Laser Tag. Battlefield Houston will be there leading us. The cost is $10.00 and I hope to see you there.

We will be having our second Student HELPERS 301 on Sunday, April 25th at the Crossing from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. Student HELPERS 301 is about ministry, discovering our spiritual gifts and using them to serve.

“Rock the River” camp will be July 26^th through July 30^th at the 7-A Ranch Resort in Wimberley, TX. The camp is for Jr. and Sr. High students.

I want to encourage you to attend and to bring your friends to Sunday mornings, Remixed on Wednesday night at the Crossing from 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or to any student ministry event here at KCF.

Student HELPERS 201!

Students will have the opportunity to attend Student HELPERS 201 on Sunday, March 7^th at the Crossing from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. Student HELPERS 201 is divided into 5 parts or areas that Christians need to develop in order to grow in spiritual maturity.

Haiti Relief Fund Donation!

We took donations @ Remixed for 4 weeks and donated $300.00 to World Vision to help with the Haiti Relief effort today. Thank you so much students and adults for your giving to and prayer for Haiti. I chose the “Haiti Relief and Long-Term Support” option when I called in. I copied the information below off of the World Vision website to let you know how your giving will help. The website states that “Thanks to US government grants, your gift will be multiplied 3 times in impact.”

From the World Vision website:

“As many as 3 million Haitians have been impacted by the massive earthquake that struck near the capital of Port-au-Prince on January 12th. Many survivors have lost their homes and loved ones. World Vision was equipped to begin an immediate response to this disaster, but we need your help to continue those efforts. Today, your gift to help with immediate and long-term needs in Haiti will multiply 3 times!

Please support World Vision by sending a gift to rush lifesaving supplies — including food, clean water, blankets, and shelter — to children and families devastated by the earthquake. And because our commitment to Haiti will continue after the immediate disaster response, your gift will also support our long-term efforts to rebuild lives and communities in Haiti. Thanks to US government grants, your gift will be multiplied 3 times in impact.

World Vision has worked in Haiti for 30 years and has more than 800 staff on the ground. Please pray for children and their families who have been affected by this disaster. Pray that God will bring hope out of despair as He builds a new Haiti from the rubble.”

“To Save a Life” Movie

Jr. and Sr. High students are invited to meet us @ the AMC 20 Movie theatre @ the Katy Mills Mall this Sunday @ 3:45 P.M. to view the movie To Save a Life. The movie begins @ 4:30 and lasts for two hours. We will meet in the waiting area in front of the AMC 20 Theatres inside the mall. Parents must pick up their child before 7:00 P.M. The ticket price is $9.50. This movie comes highly recommended and will be seen by many church youth groups. This movie is rated PG 13 and I encourage you to go to www.pluggedin.com/movies/intheaters/tosavealife.aspx and read the movie review to help decide if this is an appropriate movie for your child. We had our third Discipleship Now weekend in conjunction with the Axiom Purity Conference held at The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch. KCF was one of twelve churches that came together to sponsor this event with 570 students attending. I want to thank Eddie and Veronica Neel, Frankie and Tammy Flores, Travis and Jamie Burrow for opening your homes to us and for being such great hosts and hostesses and to Delaine for allowing us to host the High School boys in our home. I also want to thank Elda Suarez and Miranda Thurman for leading the Jr. High girls, Delaine Evans and Tammy Flores for leading the High School girls, Josh Esquivel and Travis Burrow for leading the Jr. High boys and Chris Copeland for helping me lead the High School boys. All of our host homes and leaders did an outstanding job and we so appreciate you and your support.

Students will have the opportunity to attend Student HELPERS 101 on Sunday, February 21st at the Crossing from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Student HELPERS 101 is a basic introduction to our church family. Student HELPERS is divided into three parts, our salvation, our statements and our structure.
