Children’s Pastor Samantha Andrade
Howdy! My name is Samantha Carrell Bailey Andrade. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. A&M is where God broke through my façade of “Christianity” and revealed His goodness and mercy to me in a way that has left me forever changed. It is also where I met my husband Pedro. God has moved us around to a few different places since we married in 2009, His latest being Katy in 2015. We have been blessed with the wonderful (and sometimes daunting) responsibility of making Jesus loving disciples of two amazing kids, Samuel and Lilyana, and adding another boy to the bunch in January. Besides focusing on my family, I enjoy antiques and things that have a good story, musicals, wide-open spaces and outdoor adventures.
I have had a passion for helping children since I was a teenager. God has graciously allowed me various opportunities to work with children over the years, from volunteering in churches and community programs, working in childcare, to having internships in both Children’s and Youth Ministry. I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to walk along side the families of KCF to influence our children for the Kingdom of God. Raising children, especially with a foundation in Christ, can be challenging, but God has given us His word, His Holy Spirit and the body of Christ to equip us for the job. I believe that together, we will raise a generation who walks humbly before Him, seeking His face and proclaiming His glory to all nations.
I love getting to know people so if I have not met you yet, please come introduce yourself and share your story with me!
My Favorite Verse
My favorite verses, ones that took hold of me in college and have not let go since, are Matthew 22:37-39: And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Through this I am reminded daily of my need for Jesus… I can’t even get past the first and greatest commandment without Him.Contact Samantha
