Day 39: November 20, 2010

Philippians 4:4-8 (NIV) “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

During the fall season with Thanksgiving approaching I tend to always look back over the year.  I am very thankful reviewing 2010 and seeing the many things that I have been anxious over are beginning to work out!  In many of the circumstances that made me restless, God has answered prayer.  Crop decisions, livestock decisions, markets, friends with problems, church needs, weather, health, and family are ever changing and I can see God’s hand all over my life.

Yes, I still get anxious, but God is always with me as I turn to Him many times during a time of need.  When you look back over the year and see how many times He has answered prayer or taken care of problems, you have to just simply get on your knees and say “thank you” to our Heavenly Father and “I love you, Lord”.
