Day 28: November 9, 2010

Hebrews 10:23 (NIV) “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

Have you made God too small?  Maybe we are only a two or three on a scale of His perfect number seven.  I challenge us to all be a seven, both in heart and mind, to experience Him completely.  Most all of you who read this already know that God’s perfect number is seven.  All throughout His Word there are many examples.  He created the world in six days and on the seventh He rested.  There was victory after seven days of marching around a city.  Peter learned that seven times seven is not too much forgiveness.  The seven churches in Revelation refer to seven seals, seven trumpets, seven thunders, seven golden bowls, and seven angels!  I must strive to be a seven -  how about you?

As we live out our lives here on earth and endure “stuff”, do many of us attempt to move past everyday difficult situations on our own power and strength?  We don’t even think about the fact that God is always available to intervene.  He wants us to all be a seven and He will help us to be better everyday.  We can be light-givers only if we shine the true “Light of the World” on more things.  Choose to let God be bigger and greater in everything.  Try to catch the vision that PRAYER IS ESSENTIAL.  Move past old thoughts and ways of life until your FAITH is the only space between yourself and God.

Yes, you guessed it – PRAYER is the key.  My most recent revelation is that I have made God too small.  Try harder to:
P-practice
R-real
A-action
Y-yourself
